What is a neuropsychological assessment?
A neuropsychological assessment is a comprehensive evaluation of brain-behaviour relationships, how the brain's functioning is reflected in cognitive abilities, behaviour, and emotional functioning. It uses a battery of standardized, validated tests to measure specific cognitive domains with precision.
These assessments are conducted by a registered neuropsychologist with over 30 years of experience across clinical, hospital, and forensic settings. Our assessments are thorough, evidence-based, and produce reports that are accepted by healthcare providers, courts, and insurance bodies.
What we evaluate
When is a neuropsychological assessment indicated?
A neuropsychological assessment is often sought when someone is experiencing changes in memory, attention, or other cognitive abilities that are affecting their daily life or functioning. It is also used following a traumatic brain injury or concussion, after a stroke or neurological event, or when a suspicion of ADHD, mild cognitive impairment, or another neurodevelopmental or neurodegenerative condition is being considered.
