About the Assessment

What is a psychological assessment?

A psychological assessment is a structured, comprehensive evaluation of an individual's emotional, behavioural, and psychological functioning. It goes well beyond a clinical interview, using standardized, validated tools to build an objective, detailed picture of how a person is functioning across key psychological domains.

At Mindframe, psychological assessments are conducted by one of our registered clinicians with advanced training and extensive experience. Every assessment includes a clinical interview, standardized testing, a detailed written report with findings and recommendations, and a feedback session.

What We Evaluate

What does a psychological assessment evaluate?

A comprehensive psychological assessment examines multiple areas of functioning to provide a clear, individualized understanding of your concerns.

Who It's For

Who is it for?

Psychological assessments are appropriate for adults, adolescents, and children who are experiencing persistent emotional or behavioural difficulties, seeking a formal diagnosis, have not responded to previous treatment as expected, or require documentation for accommodation, insurance purposes, or legal proceedings.

The Process

What the process looks like

Your assessment begins with a comprehensive clinical interview where one of our clinicians takes time to understand your history, presenting concerns, and goals. This is followed by standardized testing across relevant domains. Testing may span one or more sessions, depending on scope. One of our clinicians then scores, interprets, and integrates all findings into a detailed written report with clear, practical recommendations tailored to your situation. A feedback session is provided to walk you through the results.

The Outcome

The written report

The written report is one of the most valuable outcomes of the assessment process. It provides a clear, clinically grounded account of your psychological functioning, a formal diagnostic impression where applicable, and specific, actionable recommendations for treatment, support, or accommodation.

Reports are accepted by healthcare providers, schools, employers, courts, and insurance bodies.
